Ponte Towers is one of the most iconic buildings in the city of Johannesburg and it stands out as a prominent part of the infamous skyline. This remarkable building has a unique design, boasting a cylindrical shape with an open and hollow center serving several different purposes. The most important of these purposes is allowing additional light into the apartments which are nestled in this skyscraper. Ponte boasts a height of 173 meters with a site area of approximately 41 220m².

This building has seen and been through a large volume of change which has seen it grow and evolved alongside the city. In the late 1970’s after its completion, Ponte City was the most desirable place to stay and was held in extremely high regard. However, in the 1990’s, this began to shift as there had been a rapid decline in the surrounding areas. In the mid-2000’s, there was a change in ownership which led to a complete revitalization of this monumental building. The tenancy rapidly improved and the overall state of Ponte City was revived and taken back to its former glory.

Ponte Towers remains a well rounded asset with secure income while still holding its place in African architectural folklore. The large signage at the peak of the property is the largest sign in the Southern hemisphere and is visible throughout various parts of Johannesburg.
