Rayleen Clancy is a multi-disciplinary artist working in stained glass, video, performance, costume, and sculpture. Born in New York City Rayleen is an artist and arts educator. She lives and works in the Gaeltacht of An Rinn, Co. Waterford. She teaches Painting, Sculpture, Design and coordinates the Art Portfolio Course in Dungarvan College of Further Education. She holds a BA in Art from SETU, BA in Painting and Digital Media from San Francisco Art Institute, HDip in Vis. Com. (Film Studies) from IADT and completed foundation year in NCAD. Rayleen has exhibited in many solo and selected group shows in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Upcoming and recent exhibitions include: Pallas Projects, Periodical Review #13, 2023/2024; Glasmuseum –Lette, Germany, New Acquisitions, 2023/2024; STAC-Chapel, Clonmel Sancta Maria’s Sanctum, 2023; Ireland Glass Biennale, Dublin Castle, 2023; RUA RED, Dublin, Spring Open 2023. She is the recipient of the following awards: Arts Council Agility Award; Waterford Arts Grant Awards; Waterford Arts Tyrone Guthrie Residency Award; Cill Rialaig Residency Award. She has work in the following public collections: Glasmuseum -Lette, Germany; OPW, Ireland; Waterford Municipal Art Collection, Waterford City.
