Cow–mad Brigid Shelly is a registered artist working from her studio in beautiful Ardmore, Co. Waterford. She is widely known for her cow paintings for which she has been providing good homes for over twenty years. Her work is included in many private and public collections in Ireland including Department of Agriculture, Cork Marts, Teagasc, Dairygold, Glanbia. Her biggest herd, of 46 paintings, hang in The Red Cow Hotel in Dublin. Such is the interest in Brigid’s work, she featured on RTE TV’s “Ear to the Ground”, interviewed on RTE’s, ”Arena” and “Farm Week”, and has had articles written about her in National Newspapers. Brigid, more recently has given up her gallery and has taken to the roads in her VW camper, painting what she sees. She also swims in the sea every morning and Winter Swim is from her new series of ‘Swimmin’ Wimmin” paintings. www.brigidshelly.ie
