Mat Grogan born in Dublin in 1947, emigrated to Australia in his early twenties. After a long career in advertising Mat began painting full time in 2001. The influence of Chardin and Vermeer is evident in his still life paintings. This is no surprise given a lifelong interest in the artists and their time. His work forms part of collections in the USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Britain and Ireland. Now resident in Ireland he continues to paint and exhibit throughout the country.
