Shona Shirley McDonald is a children’s book illustrator/author, living in Seanphobal. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally including at the Bratislava Illustration Biennial. The latest book she illustrated Girls Who Slay Monsters (wr. Ellen Ryan), was nominated for the Yoto Carnegie Medal for Illustration 2024, and won both the Children’s An Post Book of the Year Award 2022 and CBI Award 2023.
