Leah Murphy graduated from Crawford College of Art & Design, with BA in Fine Art Painting and has continued to work within the Arts both with a Studio based practice and collaborative community based projects.

Leah has exhibited her work regularly over the years, with group and solo exhibitions, in Ireland and Italy.

“Often within my work I am drawn to subjects of nature and my surroundings aiming to capture or freeze a focus to highlight an area of interest where the eye is drawn too, in breaking down shapes and geometries I try to find a balance or a connecting point between representation and abstraction” she says. Leah’s artwork is represented in private and public collections including The Waterford Municipal Collection; Municipio, Commune di Malbourghetto-Valbruna, Italy.
